CICiteImpact

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-24 · Draft: to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

1. The service

Given a paper you provide, CiteImpact searches public data and uses AI to analyze the papers and authors that cite it, and produces a citation impact report.

2. AI-generated content

Reports are AI-assisted and every claim links to a public source. AI can mistake people who share a name or misread a citation. Before submitting a report to any application, review or public venue, check each source and use the review page to remove anything inaccurate. You are responsible for how you use content you haven't verified.

3. Account

You sign in with an email code. Keep your mailbox secure; actions taken through your account are treated as yours.

4. Credits and codes

Full analyses are charged by credit, 1 credit each, refunded automatically if an analysis fails. Redeemed codes can't be transferred or cashed out.

5. Refunds

Because reports are digital content, successfully generated reports aren't refundable without cause. If a report is clearly unusable (for example the wrong paper was identified, or a system fault left content missing), email support@citeimpact.app and we'll reissue the credit or refund you.

6. Acceptable use

No harassment or attacks on others, no bulk scraping, no reselling the service, and no bypassing credit or rate limits.

7. Data sources

Reports rely on third-party public data such as OpenAlex, arXiv, Google Scholar and public web pages. We don't guarantee it is complete or accurate.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms and the service, and will give notice of material changes. Accounts that violate these terms may be restricted or closed.
